Hijab Controversy: Former CM of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and Loksabha MP Farooq Abdullah has reacted to the Hijab controversy that started from the college in Udupi, Karnataka. The President of the National Conference has said that “some extremists want him to win the election by attacking religion.”

Farooq Abdullah said “The country is equal for everyone, you have the right to wear what you want to eat and how you want to live, everyone has their own religion, which religion is being attacked these are some fundamentalists who want this By doing that they win the election.”

Mehbooba Mufti said- BJP will not stop here…
Apart from this, former CM of the erstwhile state Mehbooba Mufti also commented on this issue. He said- “I am afraid that the BJP will not stop on the hijab. They (BJP) want to eliminate all the signs of Muslims. It is not enough for Indian Muslims to be Indian, they also need to be in BJP.”

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said this
On the other hand, the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory Manoj Sinha also reacted to the hijab controversy. He said, “I have to talk about two things – respecting religious sentiments and keeping the Indian Constitution supreme. Every citizen of the country should take care of both these things.”

Manoj Sinha said that the matter is sub-judice and hence, “it is enough for me to say so on this issue.”
