Earlier on Friday, July 29, five women were killed in a village in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district due to lightning. Six people were also injured in this accident. Regarding this incident, a senior official had told that the deceased were working in a paddy field in Ghatkachar village of Saraipali development block. The incident took place around 1 pm, the women who died in the accident were identified as Janaki, Laxmi Yadav, Basanti Nag, Jamovati and Noharmati. At the same time, six other women suffered burns and were admitted to the hospital.

According to the information, five people and 23 sheep have died in separate incidents of lightning in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. Four people were injured in these incidents that took place in five villages of the district. A senior official regarding the incident said that in Kiari village, Shyam Kumari (18) died on the spot when she was on her way home with her sister, who was injured and was shifted to Bilaspur for treatment. was done. In a similar incident, Anil Yadav (30) of the same village was killed and another person was injured.

Apart from this, Mahesh Dongre (56), a resident of Madhuva village of Akaltara area, died due to a bolt from the sky while working in the field amid rain. While 50-year-old Dilip Yadav was returning home with his son in Chorbhatti village, he died due to lightning at that time. In a similar incident, Vijay Rathore died in Seoni village of Champa area, the official said. He was admitted to a hospital in Champa and later shifted to the district hospital due to his critical condition, he said.
