Kanpur News: The survey of madrasas in Kanpur metropolis has started. On the instructions of the District Officer, the District Minority Welfare Officer is conducting a survey of the madrassas. Today the survey team reached Jame-ul-Uloom Madrasa in Patkapur area, where as per the intention of the government, 12 points were thoroughly investigated. In which all the arrangements of unrecognized madrasas were tested.

The work of survey of madrasas has started rapidly in Kanpur. Under the leadership of SDM Sadar, a total of 40 unrecognized madrasas have been identified in the metropolis, whose arrangements are being checked and tested. Today, District Minority Welfare Officer PK Singh along with his team reached Jam-e-Uloom Madrasa in Patkapur area. This madrasa is also not run by the madrasa board, that is, unrecognized. A total of 354 students are taking education in this madrasa with Deobandi ideology.

In the madrasa, the team called for answers to all the points demanded by the government. All the questions were answered including the register of student numbers, details of attendance of teachers, food being provided to the students in the madrasa.

The team was told by the chairman and staff of the madrasa that there are a total of 22 classrooms in the madrasa. The Madrasa is affiliated to Deoband, which also has a library. There are 70 residential rooms, 42 toilets, 22 urinals and 1 hall. This madrasa is running for the last 145 years. Special courses will be conducted here in the coming days. At present, education is being imparted here from primary to high school.

’99 percent madrassa right’

The chairman of the madrasa has said that the survey is being done, it is a good initiative. However, he also claimed that 99 percent of the madrasas were running properly. Apart from this, where did he also say that if a madrasa and a mosque are built on other’s land, then it must be demolished. He told that the madrassa is being developed in such a way that it is job oriented. That is why work is being done here from MP Satyadev Pachauri’s MP fund, after which the job of giving jobs will start in 3 months.
