Tunnel Accident In Katni: A major accident has occurred due to a tunnel collapse in Katni, Madhya Pradesh. The accident happened due to the collapse of the tunnel wall in Katni. After this accident, 5 laborers were rescued safely while four laborers are still buried. SDRF team from Jabalpur has reached the spot. SDRF team has also been sent from Bhopal, rescue and relief work is going on. Two laborers have been evacuated in the rescue operation, out of which one worker is a resident of Singrauli. During tunnel excavation, 5 laborers buried in the soil were rescued after 10 hours. Rescue operation is on to retrieve the remaining four.

CM Shivraj’s eye on the accident
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also tweeted on the accident. He wrote, “Saddened by the news of workers being buried during the construction of the canal at Slimnabad in Katni district. It is a matter of relief that 3 out of 9 workers have been taken out safely. Relief and rescue work is going on.” Along with this, CM Shivraj said, “There is a team of district administration on the spot and SDRF team has also left for the spot for assistance. I am in constant touch with the administration. I pray to God that everyone be safe.
