Pakistan: Pakistan is giving an example of the path on which fundamentalism can take the country. In Pakistan, a mob pelted a man with stones in the Khanewal area. The mob suspected that this man had burnt the pages of the Quran. At the same time, now according to the information received, this person was mentally ill and disabled.
Let me tell you, earlier in Sialkot, Pakistan, a Sri Lankan citizen was burnt to death on charges of blasphemy. According to the news, the export manager of a factory located on Wazirabad Road in Sialkot was beaten to death by the workers working there and then burnt his dead body. Sialkot police officer Omar Saeed Malik has identified the man as Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara. Sialkot police chief Armagan Gondal told the press that factory workers had accused him of desecrating posters bearing the name of Prophet Muhammad.
The horrific vigilante attack on factory in Sialkot & the burning alive of Sri Lankan manager is a day of shame for Pakistan. I am overseeing the investigations & let there be no mistake all those responsible will be punished with full severity of the law. Arrests are in progress
