NTA Revised JEE Main 2022 Tie Breaking Policy: On the basis of both the sessions of JEE-Main, the country’s biggest engineering entrance exam, All India Rank and NTA score of session-2 can be released on 6th August i.e. today. Along with this, the eligibility of JEE-Advanced (JEE Advanced 2022) will also be released. This year there will be only one student on All India Rank in the result. Looking at the last year’s result when there were 18 students on All India Rank One, NTA has changed the tie-breaking policy. NTA has now made such rules on the basis of which only one student will come on the number one position.
3 of some students in June attempt300 marks out of 00
Career Counseling Expert Amit Ahuja told that there are some students who are getting perfect scores of 300 marks out of 300 in JEE-Main June Attempt. Similarly, in the July session also, there may be some students who have 300 marks out of 300. Age and JEE-Main application number will be used as the last criterion for arriving at the All India Rank of these students.
Rank will be decided like this –
The top All India Rank of students who have scored 300 marks as well as 100 percentile will be released on the basis of age and JEE-Main application number. In such a situation, the possibility is absolutely reduced that the application number is also the same with the age of two students.
Here are the new rules –
For the first time this year, 9 criteria have been set for determining the rank in case of tie in the higher NTA score of the students. In this, if the total NTA scores of two students are equal, then the NTA score of Mathematics will be looked at first in the All India Rank determination. If it is equal then the NTA score of Physics, followed by Chemistry, then the ratio of the number of correct and incorrect answers will be seen.
In this case the ratio of right and wrong answers will be seen –
In this case the ratio of number of correct and wrong answers in Mathematics subject wise in case of tie, here also the ratio of number of correct and wrong answers in Physics in case of tie, the ratio of number of correct and incorrect answers in Chemistry in case of tie will be seen. .
After this this rule will be applicable –
In case of tie in all the above mentioned parameters also, the student who is older in age will be given preference in All India Rank. At the level of age criterion also, in case of tie, preference will be given to the ascending order of application number. That is, the one who applied earlier will get priority.
JEE-Advanced Application Process From 7th August –
This year JEE-Advanced exam is being conducted by IIT Bombay on 28th August. Top 2.5 lakh students selected on the basis of JEE-Main will be declared eligible for the advanced examination. These students can apply for this exam on the JEE-Advanced website from August 7 to 11.
