UP Assembly Election 2022 Master Vijay Singh Did Not File Nomination From Gorakhpur Urban Seat



Master Vijay Singh wanted to contest the UP Assembly Election 2022 against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Gorakhpur. But, he could not file his nomination papers. Vijay Singh has been protesting against corruption for the last 26 years. He hails from Shamli district of western Uttar Pradesh.

Protesting against illegal occupation of land

Vijay Singh has been protesting for 26 years to free four thousand bighas of land of Chausana from illegal occupation in Shamli district of West Uttar Pradesh. Now it has become the longest dharna in the world. He had announced to contest the election against Yogi Adityanath from the BJP as well as the candidate from Gorakhpur city seat. Master Vijay Singh could not file nomination from Gorakhpur in front of CM Yogi Adityanath. He was denied nomination due to non-availability of proposers.

Proposers not found for filing nomination

Master Vijay Singh had announced to contest the election against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 3 February. He said that despite the investigation conducted by CM Yogi proving illegal possession, he was hurt due to non-action on land mafia. For this reason, it has been decided to contest from Gorakhpur city seat. He had reached Gorakhpur to contest the elections. He told that he has not received proposers for nomination. Those who had prepared were scared.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Contesting election from Gorakhpur city seat. This is the traditional seat of BJP. She has not lost from this seat for the last 32 years. The SP has made Subhavati Shukla its candidate against Yogi. Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) chief Chandrashekhar Azad has filed a form against Yogi. BSP has fielded Khwaja Samshuddin as its candidate. The Congress has not yet announced the name of its candidate.
