When this happened, the manager and his associates protested at the petrol pump, on which the enraged criminals shot them dead and fled in their car.

The incident happened on National Highway 24

As soon as the police came to know about the matter, she reached the spot and registered a case and started investigation. Police took possession of the body of manager Sushil Kumar at the petrol pump and sent it for post-mortem. Police say a petrol pump manager was shot dead in broad daylight on Thursday while trying to stop criminals from stealing diesel from a truck parked on Lucknow-Delhi National Highway 24.

Criminals opened fire to stop stealing

In the case, Bareilly Rural Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Agarwal says that “A petrol pump manager, along with two of his colleagues were at their petrol pump on the road. They noticed some suspicious activity around the truck parked near the petrol pump. They saw That some people are stealing diesel from the truck by parking their car.” He further added that “when they approached the thieves and tried to stop them, they opened fire, killing the manager.”

Police investigation continues

SP Rajkumar says that the dead body has been sent for post-mortem and closed circuit television footage is being examined to identify the accused. He said that a team has been formed and efforts are on to arrest the accused at the earliest.
